If any smaller region gets far in these masters, they will surely belittle it until the end saying that it was because of the whole situation of FPX and FNATIC and this story of the most ''boring'' masters of all KEKW
tinted [#2]i was literally about to make a thread on this. no matter how well other regions do, emea fanboys will always belittle other regions' achievements with "fpx wasn't there" and "fnatic was playing with sub" etc etc. just the sad truth.
They have a weird superiority complex for some reason ๐

"we are the best region in the world we should get 10 slots" -emea fanboy
arecyc [#7]i mean you see it in many esports,NA or any other region will simply just never win another tourney, they are too lazy and bad, look at sentinels compared to gambit
Gambit haven't won a tourney since masters 3. I get your point but you didn't really prove it with that comparison.

no you should compare their mentalities, sen won a masters then stopped trying / caring ,gambit won masters and still kept grinding and got 2nd at champs

Yes that's why I said I got your point but you used tourney wins as a way to measure success when literally no team has won 2 international events.
evvve [#12]its true though. what would you say if LOUD couldn't go? not fair? stop cry.
No one would have said anything (other than be sad about it), cause LOUD is not expected to win the whole tournament like FPX.

i'm sorry for being such an emea fanboy and thinking that you have to beat a team at their 100% to actually be called better than them. ๐ญ๐ญ im just belittling other regions teams, as if this wouldn't apply to any team regardless of region. i just really hate seeing other regions do well you got me.

Remember when V1 played with a sub and beat Team Lulquid? I remember.
EMEA teams always make excuses, meanwhile every other region owns the situation and plays their game. NA didn't complain about having a sub when V1 lost, but EMEA loves excuses. It's inevitable.

Your region still gets 3 spots. NA wouldn't be making excuses as to why they lost if The Guard couldn't go. C9 would take the spot and that'd be it. If they didn't win, that's that.
We wouldn't cry and make excuses as to why we lost. EMEA cringe. I might think BR is mediocre, but at least they don't whine over every loss and instead decide to celebrate their victories. I give props to BR for that. Then again, that's every region except EMEA.

you're exactly the kind of person i'm talking about. thanks for proving my point!

3 spots. which are there because emea is the #1 region.
emea is the #1 region because the best emea teams have gone to represent emea, but now that isnt the case.
so i think its pretty reasonable to not be happy about it, and emea can keep living rent free in your head i could care less for your emea hate boner.

You're right about Sentinel's mentality, but there's a reason why new teams (like The Guard) have come out of nowhere in NA, after grinding practicing and trying their absolute hardest for the past 3-4 months to make it here. The issue with Sentinels is that they make too much money off streams, and so do the orgs. The real money for orgs isn't in the tournament winnings unfortunately, and it sets a bad precedent for orgs in NA.
tinted [#17]you're exactly the kind of person i'm talking about. thanks for proving my point!
sorry for not having a loser mentality. this has nothing to do with other regions, same would apply for eu vs eu team.

your argument of "one team isn't at their 100% so it doesn't count" is the literal definition of a loser mentality.

really?
beating a handicapped opponent and then calling yourself better.
winners mentality.

look to gambit? ๐where? they not in the tourney.

The matches haven't even started yet. How can one be pissed about something that hasn't even happened and might happen in future? And it's usually the brain ded EMEA fans here who makes up excuses lol.... EMEA teams are much nicer and more aware of themselves than the NA bunch lol.

The only people pissed on this forum are EMEA fans, already making excuses for when they don't win. Read around. Other regions are calling it out because it's pathetic. They have more slots than any other region, and yet they're making excuses as to why they can't win. That's absurd.
Strafe7 [#6]This is why NA was so toxic after Iceland last year because eu frogs are annoying af.
no if anything it was NA that was toxic after Scream said "na is predictable'" Then EU only became toxic when gambit won since NA was literally shit talking emea the whole of stage 2 and 3
