is wardell basically confirmed to join 100t?
_wrld_ [#3]If so who will 100t drop?
100t is going to be making a bunch of roster moves. They didn't bring in DDK/sgares to keep the same ranked players, switch up their roles, and remain mediocre. I think they rebuild around Ethan. Literally everyone else is expendable. There are far superior duelists, far superior Sovas, far superior awpers, far superior flex players. And 100T have the money to go get those players.
I think they ask Ethan what role he wants and give it to him (assumedly smokes/flex, because he's not a good Chamber/Sova relative to the other talent in NA). Then they bring in Wardell to awp on Chamber and go from there.

I agree with that for the most part but I still think Asuna had the potential to be the best flex in the game. He is already one of the best riflers in the game and in the right role I think he’d be insanely dominant in the scene.

I see, based upon those thoughts who do you think will be the additions/replacements, along with their roles and the igl as such.

Agreed, but with Asuna playing flex and hypothetically wardell being the awper that doesn't leave a lot of options. Ethan on smokes allows him to igl, but there are better options available in the market.

Are you watching the same games as I am? Ethan is meh... hiko and ethan need to go

Better smokes? Who is currently on the market that would be better? Ethan can play literally anything.
riverking [#12]Are you watching the same games as I am? Ethan is meh... hiko and ethan need to go
Ethan's saving grace is that he has been acting as IGL and has plenty of LAN experience and knows how to win from CSGO. Maybe the CSGO pedigree clouded my judgement.
If you wanted to blow up the entire roster and start completely from scratch, I couldn't argue against that.

the best move they could make is keeping bang on flex keep asuna on jett but bring in wardell on chamber, ethan to smokes, and hiko on sova and have wardell op instead of asuna.
Deadpanmitten94 [#13]Better smokes? Who is currently on the market that would be better? Ethan can play literally anything.
I meant in the sense of being the igl not smokes. If Ethan does not move to smokes and stays as a flex is it suitable to put him as igl considering he is one of their star players.

Anyone outside of OpTic should be buyable. OpTic has shown sustained success, their players are dedicated to the game, and they're going to beat Guard to qualify first this weekend. Guard, V1, and C9 could all be broken down and bought out depending on how playoffs go. TLDR: any player not on OpTic

you are joking if you think anyone from grd v1 or c9 will leave for 100t, that is a move that could kill their careers plus guard and v1 ownership is richer than tsm and c9 is the best team in NA, this take is pretty bad. guard and v1 also better than 100t

No one from any of those teams even if they don’t make lan is going to leave if they have the choice. It would be ridiculous to leave a team that’s already having success for a team that’s yet to see success. Maybe if 100t starts bustin heads yeah people will consider it but not for a while.

NA doesn't have any proven IGL's other than FNS. We also don't have any premium awpers, except for Wardell (as a side note, Valorant as a whole doesn't have any premium awpers - all the greatest awpers are still playing CS). I think 100T will be able to poach players from any team other than OpTic. That includes C9, V1, and Guard, depending on how the playoffs pan out. Basically, they would be building an NA superteam.
Wardell - awper that must play Chamber AND Jett, maybe even Sage, depending on the map.
Duelist - they have to be one of the best riflers NA, and able to play at least Jett AND Raze at a high level (no one-tricks). Reyna and Neon for bonus points, maybe even the occasional Kay/O.
Other than that, they need 3 ultra-flexible players with the perfect mix of calculated aggression and solid teamwork. The current "meta" is actually an anti-meta, because finally we aren't playing the same 5 agents over and over.

Bro I could see the orgless team from CS joining together and dominating with a good 5th flex player. If Wardell and Yay could sort out who plays who and one learns Raze (Doesn't just be a jett one trick) then that team could be super dominant.

A roster with Wardell, Subroza, FNS, yay, and Victor would go crazy.

That would be overpowered. Could almost consider it a superteam.

C9 is the second best team in NA behind OpTic. V1 and Guard haven't shown me enough to feel comfortable ranking them.
My main point is that all these borderline Tier 2 teams like XSET, LG, PKS, TSM, EG, FaZe, etc have at most 2 truly insane players on each roster. I think consolidation has to happen if NA wants to compete internationally. At least while they're working with CS rejects. If new talent grows up on Valorant and joins it instead of CS, I think that problem will eventually go away.

before losing the optic series, c9 won 12 series in row. Ever since vanity came in, c9 has been NA's best team, they dominated lcq and was easily NA's best team at champs. optic went 3-2 in groups while c9 went 5-0 asw. v1 and guard instantly qualified for challengers while 100t failed, that in it of itself makes them far more attractive than a team that will drop you after 2 OFFICIALS no less. I think that NA teams are good enough to compete internationally with new teams like v1 LG xset and the guard are challenging the more experienced teams like optic c9 sen and 100t. Teams just cant consolidate and create superteams, thats not how it works. There has to be chemistry and players have to like each other, ur cs rejects point makes no sense asw, Csgo is a really different game and has no correlation to valorant and I dont understand the problem you are talking about regarding that.

c9 and guard are better than optic lmao, and you could even argue that v1 is better
