Riot has announced the 6th event of their Ignition Series tournaments, this time collaborating with Hong Kong-based organizer Cyber Games Arena for the Southeast Asian tournament.
The tournament consists of 7 online regional qualifiers in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia, and Singapore, with each qualifier playing over the span of three days. 10 teams then will be selected from a pool of 6 invited teams as well as the top teams from the 7 regional qualifiers to play in a Bo1 single round-robin group stage format, which sees 8 teams from the top 2 of each group competing in the playoffs with Bo3 single-elimination quarter and semi-finals, which then culminates in a Bo5 grand final.
Each regional qualifier has its own prize pool appropriated to the region, with the overall winner of the tournament receiving $13,000 USD out of a $20,000 USD prize pool.
Registration for the regional qualifiers have already been opened, which you can check here. The finals will be held later this year in August. There's yet to be an announcement of any official broadcasts or streams of the event as of the writing of this article.
