Riot has announced that GGTech will host an event for the Latin America region as part of Riot's Ignition Series.

The $5000 USD event will feature two tournaments; one for Latin America North and one for Latin America South. Both events will feature eight invite-only teams that will compete in a single-elimination, Bo3 bracket culminating in a Bo5 grand final.

The finals for LAS/LAN will be held on Thursday, July 2 at 4:00 PM CT and Friday, July 3 at 6:00 PM CT respectively. Only the finals of each tournament will be broadcast on GGTech's Facebook, Twitch, and Youtube, but players will be allowed to stream other stages of the tournament.

This is the fifth announced event in the Ignition Series out of an expected 20.
