why the fuck would u want them to race on the same engine that's boring man yes it would be more about driver talent but remember there is now a cost cap, they also introduced a completely new structure in order to make sure the teams at the top would get significantly less time in the wind tunnel in order to attempt to limit them in terms of RND. Equal engines isn't the answer to ur problems

bc I used to watch championships when I was a kid and when I gotta know about the inequality in F1, my heart broke. Its just me. I just don't want the big 3 and best of the rest categories. so inequality in performance and budget is a turn down for me.

well they have done a lot of work to try make it as equal as possible, also a lot of work on making the sports greener. but the cost cap is in place to stopp teams like mercedes, ferrari and red bull from spending 300-450+ million USD a year
