There are plans in motion to schedule a dual broadcast to play Week 3's delayed games with Week 5's previously scheduled games. Riot is also "building a plan" to host Week 4's postponed matches.

On February 24, due to the ongoing Russian invasion of Ukraine, Riot announced the postponement of VCT EMEA Week 3's games.

According to Upcomer's Declan McLaughlin, Week 4 of games will proceed as normal. The match between FunPlus Phoenix FunPlus Phoenix Inactive SUYGETSU Dmitry Ilyushin Zyppan Pontus Eek ANGE1 Kyrylo Karasov Shao Andrey Kiprsky ardiis Ardis Svarenieks and Natus Vincere Natus Vincere Europe Rank #20 ANGE1 Kyrylo Karasov Shao Andrey Kiprsky Ruxic Uğur Güç hiro Emirhan Kat koalanoob Gianfranco Potestio , as well as the game between FNATIC FNATIC Europe Rank #3 crashies Austin Roberts Boaster Jake Howlett kaajak Kajetan Haremski Chronicle Timofey Khromov Alfajer Emir Ali Beder and Guild Esports Guild Esports Inactive , will be postponed. EMEA competition will then return March 11, with a super week format to compensate for Week 3 and the aforementioned games.

Out of the 60 players participating in VCT EMEA, 13 are Russian and two are Ukrainian. According to Dexerto's Jakub Czapran, FunPlus Phoenix FunPlus Phoenix Inactive SUYGETSU Dmitry Ilyushin Zyppan Pontus Eek ANGE1 Kyrylo Karasov Shao Andrey Kiprsky ardiis Ardis Svarenieks will field Kamil "baddyG" Graniczka as a replacement for Kyrylo "ANGE1" Karasov, who resides in Kyiv and is currently forbidden to leave the country.

Riot — who, unlike other esports tournament organizers, have not yet made clear if Russian organizations or players can continue playing — are exploring scheduling options for Saturday and Sunday, promising an update as soon as possible.
