its meh. like i was expecting a henry/vecna backstory and i was kinda sick of seeing the kids can we please just focus on the main cast
im doubtful on the finale they have a million things they failed to tackle in ep 6 and 7
They did show the part where henry gets his powers but they didn't put any kind of importance on it at all atleast for this part. Like in the usa I heard there was a stranger things stage drama where they showed abt how henry got his powers and is controlled by mind flayer but they said it's not canon, also I agree they have indeed failed to tackle a lot of things and finale could be a shitty one infact if they didn't increase the pacing in epsiode six and epsiode seven, then they would have been in an even bigger mess
people are hating on it tm for no reason. Just coz nobody was killed off yet makes it boring to them?? tf.
Sure its not the best season( so far) but im sure they are setting up a very good finale ( Please dont be like GOT or ima kms).
I enjoyed it and i really cant wait for the finale to drop. Only scene I didnt enjoy was will's final scene in the last episode, imo it could've been set up and executed way better(like him doing that right before a crawl didnt make much sense in my head).
But holy shit a lot of well acted scenes and especially THAT scene with lucas & max was so strong. The way the emotions were acted out by them was so fricking good. Nancy and Jonathans break up did make sense and i like the idea of the unproposal. Dustin showing how much steve means to him was good especially with how off dustin has been acting after eddie's death
I think this season peaked at the end of Volume 1 mostly people are hating because they couldn't re create that in the next episodes tbh these episodes were needed to explain what was going on since this is the last season so probs they gave time to explain why and what and how behind the show we pretty much got all the answers why Vecna took Will and where is he, about the creation of Upside Down etc so that's a big thing on it's own
People don't like world building alot of times I think that's where the hate comes from imo, I Don't think anyone dies in this show tbh lol it will be a happy ending which is good not every ending has to be written by killing some of the characters and it's fine if it's fits well and gives a purpose to the show and makes ending meaningful
i think people are hating because this part particularly showed us nothing new in terms of information and thy have left it out all important things for the part 3, i myself hate this part 1 part 2 part 3 thing like bro i started webseries binge watching trend by actually binge watching stranger things

Storytelling is not like that ahh it might not make sense for you but for the character arc it did he overcame his struggle or hurdle whatever now he can be at his full potential for the finale
The idea of that plot is fine but it the way things were executed that made it seem it did not fit in well.
I've only seen the coming out of the closet clip and that shit is so fucking ass it's a crime against humanity that people got paid to write, act and film that

well being gay in the 80s would probably cause an already shy and insecure kid alot more stress, and is definitely a big part of who will is
