hello fellow pc users. i made two threads over the past months about switching to win11 and how i hate it. Well now my laptop(win11) has gotten slower with each update (7th gen ryzen cpu, 16gb ram btw) and win search is trash while i did NOT switch to win11 for my pc at home. Good thing i didnt cause honestly with how win11 eats memory and the memory prices, im perfectly happy with win10, at least for a year. That is all i hope the next year treats us oppressed pc users better

I know damn well microsoft won't make this happen but I wish there was some way to switch from windows 11 back to windows 10 or at least start selling windows 10 pcs again

win 11 is not it. I liked when Windows was just offline.

unless you are using some specific softwares or games with kernel based anti-cheat switching to linux is absolutely worth it. I switched to linux on my 5 year old laptop and it is so smooth. Even with tabs on firefox open cup usage doesn't cross 15% whereas win 11 consumed 30% in idle state, cup temp is super low and not to mention how customizable linux truly is.

Hi I have some experience within this field. I would recommend looking up AtlasOS. Basically its like a "Version" of windows that clean your pc from bloatware, the things that normally makes Windows 11 worse than win 10. Its free to install and there is a guide on the website aswell so it is quite easy to do. I would however recommend that you reset your pc to factory new settings before and then setup and optimized version of windows 11. Otherwise search for Chris Titus Tool which is also a way that you can optimize your pc and remove bloatware, however Chris Titus Tool requires more computer skills but its possible to learn using reddit or just Google in general. Both of these are basically as close as you can come running like a Linux os but with Windows infrastructure.

Sadly Valorant and Riot does intend to make Valorant on Unix based systems since they are easier to work around Vanguard which makes it a security risk and this is a final statement from them. Feel free to ask more questions and I'll try my best and answer them here or on my discord: ObvOssy.

hello thank you i will consider this, as well as linux since im learning about databases too, perhaps in the summer break. My pc where i play games (i dont play games that much) is on win10, so i will consider this/these for my work laptop which is on win11

Btw both Chris Titus Tool and AtlasOs works on Windows 10. However from my knowledge the windows 11 versions are more optimized.
