TLDR about KOI situation
- They received the mail yesterday (5th september)
- They got kicked without any warning
- Handled content derpatemnt poorly ||(KC should watch out)||
- Worst classic sales this year (top 5-6 last year)
- Aknowledge the poor performance, but they expected more from the team
- Riot kicked them for the accumulation of all of this (may be more hidden stuff)
- Riot could have handled that situation better (understandably so)
- Absolutelty NO WARNING (just repeating)
- Did not get a say in that (Although they tried)
- Ibai tried to say he'll go back to co streaming and sell more skins but Riot still refused
- Riot told KOI that announcement was 12h laters after the meeting they were kicked
- KOI feel kinda short cutted (idk how to say it, but basically it came as a shock to them so suddenly and had to record that video super fact to defend themselves)
- Were joking on twitter about signing those players while they didn't know they were kicked from VCT
- Already had a contract with Yaba for 2026, and trialed more than 50 players
- Finally felt like they could have the team they wanted from scratch
- Annoyed by Riot's handling things but still respect and understand it
- Ibai think that M8 was too good for Riot to pass on them so they found any excuse to ban an EMEA team (IT IS IBAI'S OPINION) (It is not confirmed M8 are coming back)
- KOI lost tons of jobs from the blink of an eye but looks like they still look motivated (?)
- Talked to every instance of riot to see a solution (Spain, USA, Kazakhstan, Bulgaria)
- Thank the fan
- Mix of performance, content and skin sales
