Design looks great to me, but more importantly, sound effects go crazy

For some people, they don't care if it's a reskin or reuses previous audio from other guns. If it looks cool, they buy it. The skin honestly does look cool since the EXO pullout effect is pretty nice. The Champs pullout audio feels more glassy so that might be more ASMR to some people. The gunshot audio is pretty alright, it's difficult to really pick a gunshot audio without rinsing and repeating on the previous skins - Primordium is pretty on top for that deep sound though. The Champs 2021 kill noises are definitely a bit better because they feel more imposing and powerful. The gimmick of turning the walls gold with your shots is a nice USP.

I am definitely annoyed about the knife since they missed an opportunity to go with the French theme and bring in a Champs knife similar to the Artisan foil from many years ago. One of the nicest Battle Pass knives that would be relevant for the French locale and offer something fresh rather than just another butterfly knife, karambit or kunai. These are nice spammable knives, but this year's knife is a reskin of the Magepunk butterfly with an extra animation.
