Why is EDG one of the worst teams now?

What happened? They looked insane a year ago. Was s1mon the winning player all along?

They can’t even beat low ranking teams anymore, and kangkang is getting hard diffed by kai kenat of all people.

This team his their ceiling and it’s blatantly obvious how bad their floor is :/

edg’s issue is not a player issue, their coaching staff is the real culprit here

if s1mon was on the team the outcome wouldn’t change as long as muggle and aqua are still on the team

theyre literally like kru rn so ass cheeks and teams around them is starting to improve

they WERE mahoraga but then everyone turned into mahoraga and they were a less developed mahoraga because they had been the mahoraga but now the other teams around them are better mahoraga and they are a bad mahoraga

They were pretty bad before getting s1mon too. They were losing almost every game at internationals and FPX was looking like the actual real contender at internationals from China.

Then they get s1mon and win champs and finish top 4 at Bangkok.

They kick s1mon and don't even qualify for the next masters, go winless at EWC and are looking bad now.

Its not about s1mon being the real winning player. He understood how to play with the team. Same case for Zellsis. Zellsis has never had a tourney where he was clearly better performing than Pancada, but he was the right fit for SEN's playstyle.

Kai is not a bad duelist, and S1mon is key in a lot of old EDG tactics
But the coaching staff should be fired fr I have not seen a new strategy from them since After left, and after every tac pause there's a good chance you see kk oping (only strategy they've got). You can also tell from how the coaches barely even talk during a pause. Additionally, how the previous strategies (double init) are based on utill cooperation makes S1mon's absence hits even harder, as they struggle to fill up the gigantic gap they've made with a braindead coach and kicking a key player in their tactics
