They are, its judt not your circle/bubble. I read a few days ago that like 70% of India doesnt have access to the Internet. Many large countries, especially in East Asia have their own platforms and internet communities, so westerners don't see or interact with them. And like the comment below me says - for them, its the norm.

Majority of the world probably doesn't think about it or finds it weird when they hear about it. The trans stuff is a pretty recent thing and mostly in America. I don't remember it when I was in school. They taught us about gay people but never mentioned trans or multiple genders. Most places don't even teach about gay people so that should tell you how things are, lol.
