VCT event location's effect on the region

Do you think where the masters were held impacts the region as a whole ? During the early years, almost all the events were held on Europe and EU looked very strong at that time. Similarly, the last three events iirc were held on Shanghai, Seoul, Bangkok. And pacific is growing rapidly. Does attracting world class teams and getting to scrim them for about a month benefit the region as a whole ?

Tbh this is probably a coincidence.

EMEA was strong in early valorant because of the CS player base, whereas now we're seeing CN and Asia as a whole catch up as valorant evolves

Home crowd/turf has to have some effect though granted 2021 and 2022 were during covid era.
