It doesn't align with their branding at all. There is no reason why they signed him other than for EWC.

Maybe contractual obligations to have a co-streamer who will spread the EWC promotion to their audience. Think about it, why would they just randomly sign Prod. Most big co-streamers, it's a risk of losing their audience.

If you have a negetive image already, there is not much farther you can fall type beat. Most probably they reached out to other co-streamers and they just rejected coz of the EWC issue. Prod doesn't really have much risk involved with doing the co-streaming, since there is not much reputation to be saved.

EWC. Let's say you are a streamer. You have a good reputation in the community. Would you want to tarnish that by watchpartying something your audience is audibly against? You probably won't. But if you don't have a good reputation, you won't care. Same thing happened here.

basically because everyone with a backbone doesn't want to watchparty EWC but they need someone willing to watchparty EWC so they get the bonus money so you sign the spineless uneducated bum who will even though your audience hates it.
