Seeing how they couldn't match KRÜ's timings on attack i think he knew they had to get more rounds on defense.

SEN's comp and plan on attack didn't look that good and KRU had a strong defense.

This is hindsight bruh. SEN have been good on attack before so he trusted they would be fine.

Obv its risky cause clearly they could have used a timeout but kaplan thought it was still worth

I think what he meant was calling a 2-2 timeout was kinda unnecessary, it's like spoonfeeding every info to ur igl, if ur igl was smart enough wudnt he have atleast thought to smt close to what the coach was thinking? Hence all he wanted to clear up was those timeouts were unnecessary , he shud have left john figure smt out if it worked , it worked if it didn't work give it some rounds and if he still fails to call , then pause

what if he notices something the igl doesnt? what if hes got a good plan for that round or tryna give them confidence thats what he said after they needed the confidence.

the whole point is to get as many def rounds bcos they thought their atk was good, like the guy said its risky but its clear they thought their atk was better so wanted to get as much as possible. they banked on kru to use their timeouts

yes, lotus is attack sided map,
you should be happy 4-5 round wins if you start defense and reserve a timeout for contingency/tactical timeouts to make sure you win the attack rounds and win

why do u need confidence at 2-2 , u shud be able to have a decent buy , keep confidence in your team u have an igl who has won madrid a duelist who is fragging a vibe merchant a good smokes player and a guy who works solely based on hype , have sum confidence in ur team + I agree with the part where he can call a better strat but at 2-2 just stick to your gameplan no?
