Lowk riot should add it where you can ban 1 map in the map rotation that you will never have to play. It would reduce the amount of q dodges by a ton and if there was a shit ass map like sunset before changes then riot would know they fucked up and would try to quickly make changes. Would also just make the quality of playing better because I know that some people like all of the maps expect for 1 and would just immediately dodge if they get it.

If you think about it avoiding a map that you aren't good on would be better for a player than just trying to brute force it onto them, it's the same reason why vct teams are allowed to ban maps they aren't good on in the first place and also this way will just prevent people from dodging the map instead.
Ranked is supposed to be "fun" and both playing a map you aren't good on and having constant dodges on maps like fracture doesn't make it any better. Plus they still need to deal with the other 6 maps in the rotation so you still need to be good on 6 maps.
Vct bans aren't there so the teams don't have to play a bo7 they are there to get rid of the maps that teams aren't good on, otherwise why not make the maps randomized like it is in ranked.

FNC was one of the best teams in the world in 2023 and never played pearl a single time so this literally contradicts your point
yeah but fnc have to use a ban to do that
if you can ban a map for yourself in ranked theres no counter to that and it would 100% become ranked meta, but in vct not every team has a permaban because there is a drawback to it (super predictable map pool, saadhak said a big reason why they beat up fnc at champs was because they knew exactly what would happen in map bans)
this change would benefit players who dont understand the game well enough to play consistently on all 7 maps in pool but would hurt the players trying to use ranked as a means to improve
