Franchising is a bad influence on VCJ

Part of the reason why I'm told there are many imports on the scene is orgs need to stay "competitive" in order to win ascension. This is not good.

This is a problem with VCJ because all of the current teams in main stage have a decent enough resource to develop domestic talents, but most chose to not do it.

If there are 4 poor orgs and 4 rich orgs, the poor orgs will have their hands tied and having no choice but to scout domestic players while I can shit on rich orgs for being stupid in the long run 😂.

Essentially, being rich and all made most orgs in VCJ complacent and lazy

This is important because I've suggested how riot could lose japan in the long run

( replace the word Korean with imports )

Well, Riot decided to make Tier 2 something that exists for Tier 1. No one wants an “independent ecosystem”.

Or just give up ascension slot and you'll get another ERL, which is what you want.

I mean, ig reducing the import slots to 1 is already a good change. Slowly but surely they will have to integrate significant changes to improve the JP competitive valorant scene

stop blaming rich orgs, it's their fault for exploiting the loophole

There's no loophole at all, except Sc0rz most orgs in vcj are not breaking any rules at all, however, compliance doesn't necessarily mean that orgs are acting on the long run interest of the community.

That or just reduce the import slot.

I still remember how orgs were replacing Chinese players with imports 1 or 2 weeks before ascension started

It will hurt, but it's better in the long run

yepp it was a huge problem, I just wish that these japanese/chinese orgs would grow domestic talent rather then import the new fragging korean thats on the block. riot should limit tier 2 import slots to 1

the loophole I am talking about is the fact they can hire 2 Koreans to play for the team

Can't they just give incentives to orgs who are trying to develop JP talent ?

That's not a loophole, that's just what import rule is , I would love to call them a loophole tho 😂 but it's not.

There is no incentive except riot giving financial incentives at all, fans don't really care about developing talent, so there's no push for that.

Developing talents is a losing game. Why waste resources when you can just imports who are ready for tier 2 ( even this can be argued to not be the case). In fact, the way the scene works punishes you for doing that by simply making you lose towards those who signed proven talents or imports.

Incentives could work, but that assumes that all orgs have the goodwill and aligned in their self interest, clearly that's not what happen here. what VCJ really need is hard law ( as in changing the rules), which is why I'm keep pushing for reducing the import slot to 1 or just abolish that rule.

It will hurt tho, FAV and IGZIST are prime examples. SG is an exception.
