Other than Mandarin, do you still speak in your dialect? Is it still growing strong in your country?
H3ENnZ [#5]Im pretty sure 60-70 percent of chinese people speak in mandarin nowdays, sometimes dialects but only limited to certain cities or to old people
In my case I can say that 95% speaks in dialect, I think the older generation actually understands mandarin more than the younger generation 😂. I mean there are people who speak mandarin but they're probably around 40%-50% and still uses dialect to go about their lives
There are the even younger generation that are drilled with mandarin but people like them are only 1-5%

Idk about this one, maybe its bc im from a different city but everyone there speaks mandarin, very little people communicate in dialects
