Valorant is far bigger in China than CS is, and the most popular Chinese team was playing in the grand final.

The Chinese viewership for the CS Major wouldn't even be half of the Champions viewers.

I made the post to explain why comparing the games is stupid but people are still arguing lol

yea i saw the passion china had in masters shanghai vs some of the chinese cs lans in the last years and its very safe to say that if china was actually good in cs it would easily surpass their valorant viewership

It was 2.7m or close to that, I understand it is hard to digest that a 4 year old e-sport is inching closer to a 20 year old one but its better to be prepared for that, I grew up playing CS too but I am not that blind to just disregard such an obvious trend

sorry it was actually over 2.3, I guess they probably didn't make it as big of a deal as Masters Madrid since it went on to break the first record peaking at 3.1 million
