Ascension Team Relegation

Can someone explains how the system for relegation works, is it just the worst performing of the two teams from each region gets relegated at the end of this year? If so that sucks for China when their ascension teams seem to solidly be in the top half of the t1 teams.

it's just both teams, and then top 1 and 2 from ascension both make it to tier 1

I think if both teams dont they both get kicked and 2 new ascension teams come in

NS might stay as well, will be harder for them tho

imagine g2 misses, would be goated

If you finish 9-12 you get auto relegated
If you finish 5-8 you get put in Ascension and have to fight to stay in
If you finish 1-4 (i.e. make Champs) you keep your spot for another year

If both teams finish 1-4 then the lower placing team goes to Ascension
If neither team makes Champs then the top 2 at Ascension make tier 1 (similar to NS and BME this year, only without the BLD part)

For 9-12, I'm not sure, tbh. All of these are trustworthy orgs (well, as far as we're aware, at least) so if they're gonna keep investing in the VALORANT scene then I don't see why they wouldn't be directly invited into Challengers. That being said, I don't think there's been an actual statement on what happens then. Guess we'll find out later in the year

But yeah, that's how it works for 5-8
