Takeaways from today's game [GE 2-1 DWG]

Rule of thumb: If someone is popping off in a region, whether the region is good or bad, they can and will show up during international matches. Has been proven by multiple players, namely Forsaken, Patiphan, and Skrossi.
These players do have a tendency to "limit test" and overextend in official matches, which probably can be fixed in due time. Nothing to worry about IMO.

The impact of ping was definitely felt. Unless everyone had an off day, the recons arrows were NOT getting popped fast enough. Not something I would expect in a pro game. Same with dodging some flashes and ect(Mostly minor things). And I'm cautious to say this, but DWG definitely had a bit of a disadvantage here. Going from playing on 0~8ms matches to 80ms ping probably wasn't fun. But they should have practiced playing with high ping before. There was plenty of time after the announcement. It's their fault for not practicing enough.

GE look pretty fucking clean with their breach util(From the little I've seen at least. I really need to finish math but Breach on Ascent piqued my interest). Might be one of the best teams in terms of utilizing breach. This is papa Shinobi coming in huge I'm assuming.

The founding fathers of breach(VS) stopped using him on Ascent a quite some time ago, same with NU so it was interesting to see that he was still viable there. Breach was forcing Texture to use dash to get out trouble so often. And their coordination when using Rolling Thunder was on point. I was surprised at how many stuns they were able to get with his ult. Usually Korean teams play against Breach so often that they will evacuate a site before they even use Ult, but DWG got caught so many times. Maybe a side effect of not playing against him on Ascent.

Kinda hot take(especially considering I haven't watched the full match), but I think Hellranger is the MVP of today's match and is the key player for this team. He has this Stax vibe to him - He knows ins and outs of Breach's kit, and can coordinate his team around him super well. You watch him play and you can immediately tell that he's been putting work into his Breach. Would be the player I'd look out for during their later games.

P.S. People who've seen the full game, how was Hellranger's Astra looking like on map 3? How did Kappa's Breach compare to Hellranger's?

I'm genuinely excited to see more of Hellranger. With the way he has been playing, he's shaping up to be one of my favorite players to watch. Breach is so fucking fun to watch when it's done well.

I did not like kappa's breach as compared to Hellranger's. I would say not as clean.

And yes, a lot of credit goes to Hellranger. He's the real MVP. Golu did really well too. Will be an interesting match tomorrow.

On the ping diff issue - imo GE was hurt more
GE is also used to playing on 8-12 ping on Mumbai server and they got 70 ping today, but they depend much more on their Jett op esp. on defense and high ping reduces the op's destructive potential

As an IGL Bhavinbaba(aka hellranger) changes his agent according to opponents he is playing against(specially in accent) and one more interesting thing is synergy between him and Rossi is so good that Rossi can get some of those kills easily + His astra was very surprising for us(ge fans) too. We never seen him playing astra but he clutched some rounds with astra utilities so yupp, Hell was real Mvp today (and most experienced too)
