I just reread the ascension rules and form my understanding G2 have to make champs every year to guarantee their spot in T1 or if they don't they have to go to the ascension tournament and win (They probably will) but having a team as good as G2 be in jeopardy of being out of T1 if they have a bad split seems lowkey off to me. Also if I'm a team that's a partner and G2 just fell I could go to them promising a permanent stay in T1 and get the full G2 team on my team. Also seems iffy for teams that ascended but some of their players are like 16 who aren't gonna be able to play (sorta like 2g rn). imagine rankers ascends but next year they cant play with 2/3 of their players cause they're not 18 yet. Thats ruining what makes rankers, rankers.
