thinking of getting a new monitor but I know my graphics card is not strong enough to always play games at 1440p, is a 1440p monitor on 1080p really bad?
also my bad for not putting this in off topic, its a habit
yeah it is quite bad, cuz it's not 1:1 scaling
yeah, I don’t recommend it. stick to your current res and see if you can upgrade to a higher hz if your pc’s performance allows it.
unless you're planning on upgrading your gpu in the immediate future then stick to 1080p
just get 1080 with a higher refresh rate hz
I wouldn't do it tbh
1440 and 1080 don't divide cleanly so there'll be scaling issues
plus your typical 1440p monitors are 27inch, with 1080p on a 27 inch monitor you'll really notice the pixels
also want to ask this, what about 1080p on a 4k monitor?
maybe you can use some upscalers like DLSS or FSR
It sucks
Open Nvidia settings set to GPU scaling 1:1 and now you have only 1080 pixel that active and beside thats 1080 pixel it turn into black
