you clearly havent researched much that SEA also the place for some of the biggest esports event (Bali Major, Blast Singapore, ESL bangkok, not to mention the mobile games)

why would RIOT not choose KR when they have hosted RIOT's biggest events and other company's biggest events. MSI, Worlds, PGC were all in different venues and has longer history of hosting events. Hence making it ideal for RIOT to host the first few years of franchising in Korea.

Longer history, more events (not just tournaments but year-long league format too) = more reliable. Blast premier, Major, etc are tournaments. OW league, LCK, starcraft league + big tournaments.
