I'm lucky to have parents who dont force me that much and all my friends are doing JEE so the time we get free we just chill on discord, also don't worry just let proper college start

There was an incident a couple days ago where the fucking narcotics beurau raided a cruise and got 3g of weed and put 11 ppl in jail, im fine thank you

There's JEE mains which is for all engineering colleges and then there's JEE advance which like top 15% qualify for from mains and that exam is like the 2nd hardest exam in the world and gets u into IIT which are like top indian institutes

That's sad, I think he can still change his stream. Most schools do still 11th mid term. Some even allow change in 12th. Try to get him to do career counseling or get someone to talk to his parents
