Nothing on it yet, pros were complaining a lot about ascent gone and not being able to showcase what they cooked. My guess would be they are gonna play the new patch

ah yes my fav ... introduce a new agent at the start of kickoff and dont allow teams to play till playoffs

I mean, teams need time to prepare for any changes to the meta.

I guess it would've been better to release the agent a month ago so they're available by kickoff but the holidays probably aren't a good time for it either.

By releasing it after kickoff there is an assumption they would be playable at bangkok and that sounds horrible if they're really good

i think its that if they release after kickoff the teams have to adjust in the short time between kickoff and bangkok, but if mid-kickoff they have more time

i have a feeling the agent is going to be OP and change the meta quite a bit - i hope they release it after kickoff for pros, or even better after bangkok, because if it's really op Bangkok is just going to be decided based on who makes the best comp with the agent.

my reasoning to think its going to be op is that the teasers and codenames heavily implied the agent has a see-through abiltity (glasses and "glasstech") which would either allow him to see through smokes for a short time or recon through walls, both of which would be op, and also that he has an airstrike ability (player card "striking distance") which is crazy good in post plant, i mean you just have to click the spike on a map to molly it/nade it??? would be so op.

I think you're jumping to conclusions here. I have been guessing for a while that the next initiator could have some kind of "see through walls" gimmick but I mean people thought Deadlock was gonna be OP when her abilities first leaked. We can't know for sure until we see gameplay.
