it used to be called Gamers8 and was mainly big in Rocket League and Fortnite

then it rebranded to the Esports world cup

its always in Saudi Arabia

Mid year is the rough time frame depending on the game. Given the Callender it's probably at best a 1 week event between stage the Toronto Lan and the start of stage 2.

Unlikely, given Overwatch (an FPS) pretty clearly is running EWC as a Lan on its Callender for 2025. Also EWC is pretty face it based so odds are Counter Strike will be their as well.
