Why is it only Valorant that doesn't participate in EWC? Isn't it difficult to hold Masters Stage 1 in Arab?

good that at least valorant has some integrity

it's not difficult but horrible for people who have any morals to attend (sideshow not casting Shanghai)

would not be surprised if they had a problem in getting people to do production there

basically EWC is Saudi Arabia's version of hosting the World Cup in Qatar, and they are doing what's known as "sportswashing"

if you've ever heard of the journalist murdering and all the ethical problems with the Saudi Govt, what they do with these events and others like it is they:

Spend their Oil money to get massive events to be hosted in their country ->
People unfamiliar or less familiar with the country and it's problems ethically associate the country with the events that they host (World Cup, EWC, etc etc) ->
Propaganda and the public has less of an uproar whenever the country has something terrible that they've done come into the media, effectively paying for the sway of the public

Here's a video from Sideshow (VCT America's best caster duo with Bren in case you're not aware) explaining why Saudi Arabia is doing this and the problems it means for Riot

Maybe it's like #9 says, oil money mostly comes from arab countries who have a bad record.

I think the difference with betting site is there's no government trying to "sportswash" or anything, to betting sites it's just business
