It’s commonly known that trans fats are less healthy for the human body than cis fats. Do you actively avoid them?

I think most people that care about their health try there best to avoid trans fats when they can, especially since they are getting banned more and more by the decade.

its not that they are less healthy thts a major understatement they are fucking horrible

Keep away from trans fats guys. They are totally not healthy. They affect not only your physical health but also your mental health. It will mess up with your head and make you hallucinate, make you talk weird stuff, make you get triggered at everything, and make you act victim at all times. Be safe, stay away from that thing. It is scary. Peace out!

I keep hearing it increases your cholesterol
How tho, what mechanisms does it interact with?

there is "good" and "bad" cholestorl, being hdl and ldl.

hdl essentially consumes excess cholesterol in your blood vessels walls and helps since that means you won't get excessive build up and inevitably a blockage

LDL is the main source of blockage in one arteries and sticks to the side of the walls building up more and more creating plaque making them more and more narrow, cause decreased blood flow, basically giving you atherosclerosis and can lead to heart attack/stroke/blood cot.

superficial explanation but thats the gist

trans fats increase LDL and lower HDL

so trans fats transform into ldl instead of hdl? which leads to build up?
