EDG won’t reach their champs 2024 form again and go back to being the team they used to be because historically whenever a team suddenly goes from average to winning a tournament they fall off right after. Examples (Acend and Zeta)

chill it's an offseason event, EDG without smoggy and kangkang is like SEN without TenZ and Zekken

Tennn had eye surgery and they're confused whether to switch Tennn for Xdll or keep him 😢
But 2022 champs was just a messy time for zeta imo

It's not really unpopular, ffs it happened 3 times already with every champs

Nah, different factors, for one, EDG didn’t suddenly get way better, they made crucial changes to the coaching staff and they benched a player

Without including S1Mon’s very first game, EDG did not lose a single match except the G2 match which could have gone either way

They had always wanted to play double initiator, that’s why kk played some initiator at time. I’m guessing they tried smoggy and it didn’t work. Adding S1Mon basically gave everyone comfort. Haodong who was their main smokes got replaced by smoggy on that role. S1Mon who is a way better flash than anyone on that team joined, and it was lucky, but turns out nobody the exactly the type of the player that EDG needed for an igl.

Also, anytime you sub out of player you that goes sub 100 acs more than the rest of the team combined. It’s usually an upgrade

I think EDG will be better then they were before because they have the confidence that they can do it now, kinda how g2 needed that one shanghai run to reach new heights
