Maybe I’ll check it out after I beat elden ring
Wukong is fine, but Elden Ring is way better. Though I wouldn’t recommended either game if you haven’t played anything other than an FPS or GTA. Souls/souls-likes are not exactly easy games to get into, especially Elden Ring. Trust me, it took me like 4 separate times to finally understand what Elden Ring was going for. I would highly recommended something that nudges you into that kind of genre better like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Survivor. They have difficulty options unlike the other 2 games and have great stories.

Rdr2 is a great place to start, easy mechanics, great open world and investing storyline

He’d definitely like Red Dead if he’s a fan of GTA, though 2 has a really slow start and can feel very awkward to play sometimes. That being said, it has one of the best stories in video game history. It’s nothing like the games he’s considering playing though.

eh, if you can hold a mouse elden ring isn't that hard. imo its easier than all the other souls games with all the help it gives you like summons and shit.
if you suck at a boss you can just leave and come back higher level.

Elden Ring can be an extremely daunting game to get into for “normie” and/or casual gamers. Sure, other than maybe Demon’s Souls, it is the easiest FromSoftware souls game to get into. But let’s not pretend that it’s easy to get into these kinds of games. It wasn’t for me at first either. Their approach to game design is very different from most mainstream games.
