VCT and Riot regulations

With the amount of Drama going on in VCT this off season, I am really questioning what Riot is doing and why they insisted on a franchised League. It seems pretty clear that Riot either lacks insight into the Orgs, or lacks appropriate regulations.

For example, if rumors about the Derke situation are indeed true, I do not understand why a VCT team should have the power to deny a players transfer even though the other org is willing to pay the buyout and the player agrees to the roster move. The fact that orgs have the possibility of jailing players in order to eliminate competition is detrimental to competitive integrity.

Aditionally, its not acceptable that orgs fail to play their players properly and on time. Situations like Bleeds or BBLs should never be possible in a franchised league. Riot needs to demand proof of salaries etc. from orgs.

There is no point in a franchised league if its barely any more regulated then an open format, no?

if anyone pays the buyout, the org shouldn't have any power no? they set the price, someone pays them, and its up to the player now. No way RIOT allows FNC to forcefully stop the move (if it is true.)

Exactly, but from the rumors Ive heard (obviously should be taken w a grain of salt, but there is multiple somewhat credible leakers talking about this) Fnatic is making it hard on teams willing to purchase Derke (not sure if this is just them straight up refusing the sale, or making it hard for other orgs through other means). This type of stuff should never happen. Putting an entire season for any player, especially of Derkes caliber in jeopardy is just awful.
