Valorant stuck on 1920x1080 with 2560x1440 monitor

Hello I have a problem where whenever I open VALORANT it launches in 1920x1080 resolution on my 2560x1440 monitor which is annoying and makes tabbing in and out initially quite slow. I have 2 monitors with my main one being 2560x1440 and my second being 1920x1080. Every time I close the game I have it set to native 2560x1440 and it still opens in 1920x1080. Anyone else have this issue and how to stop it?

Have you checked the video settings on the game itself?

yes it opens and says 2560x1440 but I have to reselect it and click apply for it to actually change to 2560x1440

Not sure if this is fixed but, try checking your NVidia GeForce Experience settings. It might keep defaulting to that resolution because of some settings being locked up.

It might be the culprit.

Change it from the in game settings, if you've already done that open up val and then open up your windows display settings and try and force it to change from there. If that doesn't work I would play on borderless until you find a proper fix
