Didn't mean off-season tournaments. People only care about the transfers in off-season and people dubbed NRG as the superteam, best roster in the last years off season. I remember every pundit was betting for NRG winning against SEN and then winning madrid. Sliggy even coped that NRG will be the best team in the second half of the season because they didn't make it to madrid LMAOO

on paper it was a superteam, but obviously they were just, in ethan’s words, “a bad team with good players”

to be fair it was after the first split that people started realizing nrg 2024 was just bad because people wrote off the sen loss as sen just being better (which they were, since they ended up winning madrid) and they’d get better as the season progressed, but then they never got better and then it hit them that this team just wasn’t it

That's just hindsight. People were as excited and as optimistic, even pundits like sliggy and tmv. You forget how much people trolled FNS and thought him to be a liability and now they act like he will revolutionize this team !
