Someone explain this APAC Ascension format to me

Why is this looking so different from EMEA and Americas where if I am not wrong, there are groups?

They had time crunch so they made rushed format.
Both last year finalist regions are getting first round bye and rest all is simple double elimination format- you lose 2 matches and you get eliminated.

Just looks like they aren't going to waste time for groups and just straight up matches that matter/playoffs

APAC has no time probably because they just can't find good logistics so yeah that's why
And seeding is based off last year's ascension region results although it seems like they were done by pools for determining the games

Maybe because of the changing management, logistic and location from japan to indonesia

Can they just extend to october maybe? Poor teams imagine getting 2 lost and already eliminated without having no chance to rebound

That's what happens when you decide to overturn a long term decision made by yourself 😅.
