when talking about the "best duelist", what do you think classifies a player as the best duelist? is it their fragging, consistency, teamplay? for me personally, i would say the community opinion is that (up until the grand finals) aspas was not only the best duelist in the world, but also the best player in the world - but he is beaten in terms of fragging and teamplay by other duelists, consistency being his only claim to the best duelist. idk, just curious to see how people define "best duelist"

When they entry how often do they get a FK. Also if they stay alive after the entry how much impact in the round.

but then its unfair to players like miniboo, where the whole team idea is that miniboo makes space with little support, dies, gets traded, plays a post plant - i would argue miniboo is a top duelist and one of the key reasons heretics made it so far in champs

Wouldn't it be better for him? Really puts his skills to the test and if he kills 1 and stays alive and makes more impact then he would look way better.

problem is tho entrying with little util is super difficult, and while he does find first kills, he's going to find a lot more first deaths due to the fact that a duelist running it down on a site will find it hard to deal with site anchors consistently without the proper support

I think FDs aren't a issue with duelist. As long as their team trades they did their job. An FK is more of a bonus and shows more skill.

aggressiveness and entry fragging ability matter more than anything else and im tired of people acting like it isnt

EDG won champs because KK is the best itw at opening up rounds, he literally had 52 FK attempts in the final

LEV struggled because vs good teams tex couldnt really find openings which fucked up LEV because aspas is not good at opening up rounds

aspas is definitely good at opening up rounds the problem was when he did his teammates werent there to trade him

aspas went +3 vs edg in opening kills

KK went +10.

he has the best teammates you could ask for, mazino is a top 5 player itw, c0m is really good, kingg is really good, tex obv cant trade him cos hes lurking

ok his teammates are currently some of the best itw but it wasnt like that at all at the start of the year (excepr for kingg and maybe c0m) also you act as if a +3 is baiting, ive seen people genuinely with 5 fk attemps on a bo3 and he tried a lot to get those entries

idk, i think this is just the way LEV plays - if you look at 2023 loud, aspas played a hard entry role and looked incredible on it. i think on 2024 the lev system is to set up him to frag way more and not just be a hard entry

Consistancy and playing to the teams gameplan. If you can/don't do this you should't be a duelist
