Ignoring all the backlash, has giving China slots of their own, their own franchising league as well as a home tournament worked? Considering EDG won Champs, and the fact that Chinese viewership is basically around the same as Non-Chinese viewership I think it has, but was the backlash worth it?

i mean its pretty obvious from a business standpoint to let china have their own region no? Riot is very familiar with league viewership and playerbase. Chinese players are insane market for them way more than global players.

Mixed result tbh, aside from champs they bombed out on every event, need a longer time to see whether it is worth it or not.

But from a business viewpoint it is unquestionably worth it.
