The KJ seems really lackluster compared to LEV’s Cypher and they kept getting flanked regardless of trips. Thoughts on them swapping it out for a Sage for plant securing and retakes? Sliggy seems to think it could work.
catNmouse [#2]g2 doesn’t play cypher
i could see fnatic doing it though
They played it on Breeze and I think also Split
cloudberry [#4]They played it on Breeze and I think also Split
well those are both maps that need a cypher or if you aren't playing a cypher you aren't playing KJ
askrial [#6]leaf needs to learn cypher man. i think that's one of the reasons that sunset is permaban for g2. also i really don't think that the viper added that much imo. i think that it would have had more impact if it was say harbour or something.
levs abyss comp is underrated been saying it for a while. g2 should just make a cypher comp

the last time they played cypher was 5/23/2024 vs T1

g2 just need to incorporate cypher. not even just on abyss lol.

i only realized that now, i don’t know what their vision is but they really need to do that, cyphers slowly becoming more meta lol

While I agree that not having a dedicated Cypher is problematic, I think Abyss and Sunset are both maps that Sage would be exceptional at. They’re both stack-strong retake-weak side maps with spam heavy postplants — just reference the PRX comp.

I think the sage comp has its drawbacks even if it’s good

Every comp does but I think it’ll be the best pick once teams get used to lurking timings and everyone learns the best spam positions for post plant.

but uhh remember that one time valyn played sage. i don't think that g2 are very comfortable with using sage.
