Playoffs Bracket

I just realised if Gen.G won they would go against DRX and it would be 4 regional matchups for the openings (now it’s 3 thanks to DRX v SEN)
Shouldn’t regional matchups be avoided as the first priority then followed by the same group thing?
Like the point of internationals is for teams to play with teams they don’t usually get to play against with? Idk man…

Nah, regional matchups means you get to play the other region in round 2 or elimination match 100% and that to me is a lot better. Winner of round 2 makes uppers anyways

Lower chance for regional matchups in round 2 is better i think

Memea has a guaranteed spot in the upper bracket with this. They should be thankful.

this makes it more valid now, elimination lower bracket would 100% have different regions against each other and that would certainly be more exciting, good point.

Plus these regional matches aren’t actually that bad. G2 vs LEV stage 2 finalists, TH vs FNC stage 1 finalists. TE vs EDG i’m hoping TE actually shows up

its better teams from same region play 1st round than knocking each other out in elimination game
