Why Trace Counter Lev and Vit

Ik I’m China glazer but I wanna talk about why I think Trace were able to beat both these teams. Lev and Vit are very much individualistic teams, being uplifted by a couple players with others there to just support and enable the stars. Trace have the best fundamentals and discipline out of any Chinese team, with amazing trades and ability to freeze a round. What this means is that against star players, trace can trade out really well, and against players like c0m or kicks they can just win fights. Trace are amazing obviously but I do think they’re able to beat these teams simply with amazing team play and trading, and I’d love to see play against some less individual teams to test their macro.

Lev choose Ascent than Abyss is the worst choice for decider map, Trace is one of the best team in Ascent beside Gen.G, Vit and Fut

Also both lev and vit let them pick ascent which is crazy. Te's map pool is basically bind lotus and ascent. They floated abyss so they might have cooked something up. I see their map pool septh being low as their biggest issue.

TEs bind was their worst map coming off of chinas stage 2 is crazy how it became their second best map (besides maybe lotus its uproven)

Yeah and having icebox as a perma is a little wack cause it’s not many team’s favourite map

Their deadlock stuff looks really good as well like they must’ve really been grinding it

After they lost to JDG on bind(2-13),they learn a lot from JDG,not just copy JDG's comp(first deadlock on bind),they do a lot on deadlock.

It's clear they didn't do any research into trace's map pool which is so shocking from a champions-level team. Looking at VLR alone will tell you that Abyss would have been a much better choice than ascent, they just banned it because of their own pool, not taking into account the enemy's.
