This champions will be called a mickey mouse in the future just wait, like what happened to acend, people make their own storylines and when they dont happen they start making shit up
meadows [#4]Mickey Mouse holds no meaning anymore. Any time someone calls a tournament Mickey Mouse I know it’s because either they didn’t like the winner or their team performed badly.
With that being said if PRX 0-2s out of groups this is the biggest Mickey Mouse club house bullshit to ever exist.
My merit is single elim tourneys specifically Lock In

Specifically Lock In is the least Mickey Mouse tournament because we 100% know the best team won and managed to prove it at the following event again

I have no doubt FNC would have or potentially would have won had it been double elim but with that many new teams and a new meta off rip literally who knows

lock in had all teams which auto makes it least mickey mouse tourney ever

We do know because they proved it again couple months after

if it had been double elim no one would be calling lock-in a mickey mouse tournament yeah. FNC winning it in double-elim would've been justifiable since they won the Masters after
in a different world where we didn't have FNC/LOUD cooking, lock-in could've seen the world's flukiest run to a trophy. imagine DFM/MIBR somehow winning and then proceeding to have a horrible league season. i don't think anyone would not call lock-in a mickey mouse tournament then

is madrid mickey mouse?
jawn [#15]is madrid mickey mouse?
Um, people's argument to say it was Mickey Mouse it's that it had very few teams right? If that is the case then 100% no, absolutely no non qualified team would have won and whoever says otherwise is delusional. So no, no Mickey Mouse
That being said, do I believe SEN deserved to win? Yes, they played the final better. Do I believe the best team in the world won? No, I still believe GenG was the better team at that moment but didn't prove it, so didn't deserve to win. Hope it makes sense

SEN won it with 2 of their best maps banned, i’d say they proved to be the better team
now i can agree that SEN didn’t play the best version of GENG but that’s up to them, Madrid GF proved that Sentinels were the undisputed best team in the world at the time and GENG evolved and proved it in Shanghai

I would disagree, I would say the entire course of the tournament including the Upper bracket finals showed me GenG was a better team. Sen played better than GenG in the finals and therefore they deserved to win. But playing better than a team and beating them once doesn't mean you're the better team overall.
Many examples come to mind but TH is the most clear one to me, they have lost twice to G2 and VIT, they deserved to lose, but even after those 2 loses, I was still convinced they were the better team overall

in the madrid 7 map pool SEN were better than GENG in 4 of those maps, i struggle to see how GENG were better, maybe because their wins were more convincing?

SEN was better in the final I'm not arguing that. Why I think GenG was better is because of how they looked and played throughout the entire tournament and even a bit because of what happened after
