Orgs leaving Tier 1?

Can an org get kicked out of Tier 1 due to lack of performance? or how does it work?
And are any teams currently at risk of that happening.
Just like how TheGaurd left Tier 1

no. they all signed a contract until 2026 or 2027 so they cannot get relegated to tier 2 unless they were a team that was promoted through ascension

i thought it was because they weren't franchisable enough under tgrd so they got delegated then g2 signed them and they became t1 again

guard was never in T1. Riot didint want them in the league because they wanted to "sell" their spot but riot didn't let them because its not a franchising spot.its a partnership.
