however, id like to add that the US' best events come later in the Olympics (track, basketball notably)
additionally, China has over a 4.2x population than the US, and the US has proven to be on top both in medals and golds for the past few Olympics except 2008, where China takes the dub. (1996, 2000, 2004, 2012, 2016, 2020)
furthermore, the US actually doesn't really give as much incentives to its medalists compared to China (which are unknown and not shown to the public), but Chinese medalists receive massive bonuses from sports bureaus and enterprises, not to mention the sweet extras from large-scale companies.
props to China though, they're slowly investing more and more into every Olympics
They always get the unluckiest opponents but this time they will make it, Unless GenG lose to TH, I don't see them beating GenG but SEN and Th I do, they should've beat TH. Heretics seems to always just pull the craziest rounds out of thin air
