Hello VLR
What do we think Saya's next destination will be?
What next for the cutie-patootie himself?
Feel bad that T1 wasn't right for him, he deserves a solid team in tier 1.
BME_JERRYCHAPULIN [#2]GE SayaPLayer + GE CHET + GE VICTOR + GE LIGHTNING FAST + GE RUSSEL + GE BENKAI
dont wanna be that guy but the ONLY reason this wont happen is the import rule π
JawXG [#3]dont wanna be that guy but the ONLY reason this wont happen is the import rule π
it would work because victor is the only import
thatpower [#4]it would work because victor is the only import
Is russ not an import? He's technically registered as english no?
JawXG [#5]Is russ not an import? He's technically registered as english no?
Nah he's not. If I remember correctly, people with dual citizenship can choose which region they want to represent so Russ chose to represent apac but if he went back to emea, he would now be an import there unless he plays for some time again. Otherwise, Polvi wouldn't have been able to play for GE.
I'm pretty sure Ban did the same so governor could play for Talon.

one of ban or governor did
charleser [#8]I don't think he fits into the tier 1 scene for Pacific right now. His roles are too limited and there's superior duelists. VCJ/Tier 2 would honestly suit him better. I think tier 1 competition is just too stacked .
Just because vcj's salary are higher suddenly everybody can speak Japanese now π.

Rumor has it he was paid hundreds of thousands of dollars at T1, and it's impossible for any Tier 2 team to match even half of his salary, except Bleed. And Bleed is already not a Tier 2 team.

Is that the total salary he earned at T1?
Holy shit, mom I'm wanna be a pro now π€£π€£

There are rumors that he was paid more than $400,000 per year.

Is this normal in geng and drx too? Or T1 is just goated ?

meh faker does carry t1 a lot so i think itβs the latter

That's because he's an old gamer from the OW era. However, over 100K is very common. Maybe every korean Tier 1 player other than the minimum salary will be paid more than $100,000. Riot rules state that the minimum annual salary for Tier 1 is USD 50,000/KRW 67,000,000. for JPY 7,438,000 per year.

Old Tier 1 player like Sayaplayer has no reason to go to Tier 2 unless he just wants to extend their careers. And he can speak bit Japanese for a long time.

In case of league, star players are unconditionally paid $1M+, but it threatens the financial health of the LCK. For Valo, wages still seems to be relatively low.

i highly highly doubt that, the only way a team is paying that much is if they are super popular and will help make the team make more money
players like tenz or yay who will bring in countless more fans

It's even more expensive for NA, TenZ's C9->Sentinels transfer fee was seven-figure dollars. In 2021, an unknown APAC team offered cNed $1,000,000 and he turned it down. Asuna was paid 30K per month in 2021. In 2022, Loud players were paid around $25K per month. The founder of Global Esports said the ransom for Tier 1 NA players has jumped to 40K/month. Bleed is rumored to have paid Yay over $500,000, And it's fucked up.
Esports is an industry in a bubble. The real numbers are usually bigger than the rumors. It just can't last.

meanwhile davai, something, jinggg and f0rsaken are getting paid less than that combined

Prx cant compete with T1 money, not many orgs can
gordonramsay [#33]Prx cant compete with T1 money, not many orgs can
And this has left T1 in a very bad financial position.
