Like online yeah, I've seen people do cringey and crazy shit inspired by all of those.

But I'd argue the other way, I think I see and hear a lot of cringe anime talk or behavior irl and never really see any of that because it's so common to watch anime now.

Go to a university campus for example, as soon as you're above the age of 15 the only socially normal pass time that isn't typical like sports, etc. Is anime imo.

I'm not quite sure what you meant by your last statement, but on a university campus there are all sorts of pastimes outside of anime that have degenerate associations with them. I just think you have heightened awareness against anime because it is a product of a foreign culture. If you look at "typical" western pastimes in the 21st century, you'll see the exact same behaviors.
