In my experiment, (https://www.vlr.gg/378970/frags-or-posts) I found out that in a new account you need 10 upvotes for 1/3 star and thats a total of 120 upvotes for 4 stars. So if you make one post and 120 users upvote you, you will have 4 stars.
Now id except those 120 users if x number of users downvote your comment it wont matter. As long as you have 120 upvotes the net votes dont matter. So the only way to lose stars is by mods.
Also i have not yet calculated how no. of posts affect your stars, but thats an experiment for tomorrow, ending it with

Daily Quote of the day 5:
"Weak minds discuss people, Average minds debate ideas, Strong minds create ideas."

I’m not that sure about it tbh cause when i was climbing up to 4 stars i noticed that the higher you get the more upvotes you need to fill the star

The experiment i did, when i got 40 upvotes, i had 4/3 stars. I cant really experiment it till 120 upvotes since, ill have to wait till the big freeze.

i think its based on the replies on ur post, the more replies u get the more stars u get, so tldr: bait 24/7

(from my experience)

I dont believe so, like everytime i got 10 upvotes( i was updating it live) my star rose 1/3.

my reason why is when i created the acc (i noticed it was similar to when peeconsumer made his acc) i had a little over 250 posts and almost 4 stars, however peeconsumer had 4 stars already with about 250 posts (he's a known baiter so he definitely did not get more upvotes than me, but he definitely got more replies on his posts, unless downvotes also give stars)

I think you're right, it's based off replies to your posts as well as your own posts. just don't know why it doesn't say that when explaining how it works. it could also be off net upvotes, or a combination.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How does the Star system work?
The stars a simple measurement of how active a particular user is on the forums. Stars are gained as you make more posts.

Again this is not true, as you can see, i have made only one post and i already have 4/3 stars.

replies are posts, and you gain the first couple stars extremely quickly. it starts getting harder the more stars you have. it's why the only bait accounts with 0 posts have 0 stars or people with stars removed

my bad, but he made two original threads. upvotes or not I think that will give you a star and a bit.

I'm making threads to test, but last time someone made a thread asking, the mods clarified yet again and it wasn't that long ago

pretty sure #16 is right after testing, and I am wrong
we can easily test if upvotes are a factor by getting (https://www.vlr.gg/379130/artemisz083-rebuttal-testing-thread) to #31 (30 replies, same as both of ArtemisZ's posts combined) and look at my stars since I will have no or negative upvotes, and compare to his alt.
