u cant rly tell igling skills unless u really analyze the matches and watch voice comm videos, u can only see a some surface level igling
johnqt clears in decision making when it comes to fights, too

valyn carried g2 stage one with his skill (2nd place in americas btw!!) and you can VERY clearly see valyn's slow paced style and beautiful midrounding
An example of this is vs NRG where it seemed that G2 would ALWAYS find the empty site (not a coincidence)

disagree, he has been with the same core for 2 years along with having one of the best american players of 2023 with leaf, the only weak link really is icy. Not to say the SEN roster is weaker, ofc Valyn has done great for having a very conservative duelist, however to say his team is lesser than johns' teams when he joined a roster and immediately won a masters is deranged imo. At the end of the day, one of them got a trophy the moment they joined a team, the other has a top 3 placement after 2 years on a team

m80 literally beat the guard before, they were neck and neck teams, ascension was bad for m80 being their first lan and the two map ban was very useful. I still believe m80 = tgrd, both shouldve made it it to t1.

i think as a pure igl valyn might b better like with the tactics and the system g2 has. john is probably a better fragger and still is a good igl. I do wonder how good john and valyn will b as igls tho if they switched teams bc zekken helps john so much bc hes so good.

That's right. G2 had a sloppy start on stage 1 tho. Later on all the other members especially leaf started shooting back

For sentinels i feel like Johnqt is like 2nd or 3rd best firepower-wise, above sacy and zellsis, below tenz and zekken

valyn was still fragging harder than the rest of the team for the later half of stage 1 (lower final tied kill record) which means a lot considering you have trent and leaf on your team

the thing about GOAT2 is that every player shows up when they need to (JonahP during shanghai, icy vs PRX and C9, trent the past 2 games, valyn stage 1, leaf always) so its hard to rank them mechanically
