IMPORT IN VCJ

To be honest, I am in favor of this.
Reason
1: This is not the World Cup, so nationality and language have nothing to do with it.
2:There are many talented players in Far East Russia and OCE, and I believe it's unfair that they are denied opportunities simply because they are geographically distant. (Imagine if something and jemkin weren't in Tier 1.)
3:The success of high-level imported players is a reason for VCJ's popularity. (VCJ without import would become boring.)

sup:The changes such as "reducing import" and "standardizing nationality" completely ignore players without Tier 2 scenes in their home countries or those unable to participate in them.

Also the fact that russian players in the roster makes it difficult for teams to go against them which is good for player and team improvement as they need set plays to deal with cracked players

Idk man seeing ScarZ with almost no JP players win JP Challengers wasn't something worth watching that much last year.

  1. Yes, this is not world cup or Olympics, but vcj really doesn't have the privilege to house other region's talent when they are severely lacking one.
  2. That something and jemkin will shit on zeta and dfm , so why are we giving "bullets" to rivals just so they can "shoot" us back? ( I have no idea how to word this without sounding hateful but I assure you this isn't meant to be one)
  3. That depends on who is the import. No offense to kayle , but he's not that popular. So this point is 50/50.

I'm not denying that other region probably needed help and we are capable of helping them. But you can't help others when you're not even helping yourself.

Your opinion focus on "enhancing the international competitiveness of Japanese players." But, the reason we support teams like ZETA and DFM is not because of nationality, right? It's because we know the players' personalities and backstories. (I don't deny that nationality can be a reason to support someone. It's just like any other reason.) so, even if my fav Yoshii steps up to Tier 1 and cooks ZETA, I should still be able to feel happy.

I dont support players BECAUSE they are Japanese. I support them because they played in the JP server for so long. Medusa never leaves jp and I support him for that. I just figured people will misunderstand what I've been saying all this time as me being just wanting to support anything japanese. But that's wrong . Riot made a separation between jp and the rest, so I want to see this region grow.

that wouldn't really be true for me. I root for saadhak because he is basically brazilian at this point (and it's a pretty cool dude too), but if half of Loud was argentiian I wouldn't root for them, no.

You are not winning anything if imports cannot adapt to the local team and speak their language. When LPL won the World Finals, players like Rookie and Doinb were speaking fluent Chinese.

It is understandable that organizations import Korean and Russian players because they are stronger and cheaper, most of the Japanese players in VCJ do not deserve their salary.

Scarz is an exception, 4 imports makes them seems like the Team Kobolds playing at HKTW, ofc its ok but will you consider them as Japanese team?

if a team like ScarZ was in the VCB I would root considerably against them. I don't understand why people from JP don't complain more about a team that barely has a japanese person on it.

To be honest, my opinion is in the minority. Many Japanese people have a negative impression of Scarz.

I think the negative sentiment will be true elsewhere. It's just some other region never had the problem Japan had, so they won't really understand. (aside from a few region that indeed has many imports(mainly EMEA), but in your case it seemed as more a common practice in your region, in APAC case, Japan and SA are truly an anomaly)).

TBH if Scarz does indeed bring a negative sentiment on Japanese audience, at least they're more self aware than I thought them to be
