im actually curious how people thought +ethan -ardiis would take them from losing to bilibili twice to actually being a good team

Ardiis massively underformed on NRG, whether he was a EU double agent or just not synergizing, everyone on that team did go on the record to say alot went wrong that wasn't just him and that it was only gonna be a roster for that season.

Ethan while not being a historically fragging out duelist he's been a consistent support player across multiple teams, plus he's played with at the time, s0m and FNS back on NRG 2022 and CS with FNS. Atleast in the context of this split, in the prior split we signed Demon1 to replace Ardiis, not Ethan.

I don’t think they are better now that last year, but they are definitely better than the split 1 team. I don’t expect much from them this year but I’m sure they will rebuild around FNS and S0m next year. Ethan and Demon1 will most likely stay too

When ardiis downperforms on NRG, NRG fans blame ardiis.
When yay downperforms on DSG and Bleed, NRG fans blame DSG and Bleed.🤡

Ardiis went 36/35 against BLG, he got his so you can't blame him for that. You also can't blame him for losing to Fnatic as the sage wall incident happened when NRG was already down 4-12

no it's because to sign yay they dropped their IGL, a move that almost never works because it's just that fucking stupid.

their rosters weren't the same when they first played. OXG made a considerable upgrade

the difference is that the yay move was a bad decision in practice for a mix of IGL and role issues stemming from them going "Fuck it who cares about roles he's the best player in the world". OXG's change was actually calculated, made a lot of sense, and most important of all, worked in practice

actual threepeat roster

NRG goes into each year thinking they have a three-peat roster🤣 just like all the previous rosters, that hypothetical lineup will also probably flop

Maybe if yay knew how to play with more agents, not just pre-nerf chamber, DSG and C9 wouldn't have had role issues. It's on yay no matter what

I'm not blaming Ardiis specifically for those, he just wasn't coming as advertised like how he was performing on FPX in 2022, that could be a system thing but even now all of NAVI are underperforming to what their history would indicate. That roster of NRG across the board just underperformed, Tokyo was a good run but everyone shit the bed against cgrs. BLG was on everyone, they all lost to whzy judge.

Sage wall incident was pretty funny but yeah they lost that game awhile before that.
