Always have something to look forward to, it keeps us excited and going. Positive anticipation about an upcoming event, keeps one happy. Positive thoughts about what will/can/should happen in the future, keeps us in a state of positive anticipation that leads up to good health. Goal setting also comes within this spectrum where the process of chasing immediate goals that are part of a long term goal keeps one hopeful and in line with positive anticipation.
